Terms of Service
Last updated: April 16, 2026
By using shipthegame.com ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. What the Service is
Ship the Game provides a personalised indie game development guide and browser-based tools. The guide content, tool outputs, and exported code are provided as educational resources — not professional consulting. We are not responsible for the games you build with our tools.
2. Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- One person per account. Accounts are non-transferable.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
- We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.
3. Free and Premium tiers
- The guide, progress tracking, and 5 tools are free with no time limit.
- Premium tiers (Starter $4.95, Pro $9.95) are one-time payments — not subscriptions.
- Once purchased, premium access does not expire.
- Prices may change for future purchasers, but your purchase is locked in at the price you paid.
- Upgrading from Starter to Pro costs only the difference ($5.00).
4. Payments and refunds
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.
- Refunds: Full refund within 7 days of purchase, no questions asked. Email [email protected].
- After 7 days, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
- Refunded accounts will be downgraded to the appropriate tier.
5. Your content
- You own everything you create using our tools — UI designs, loot tables, dialog trees, exported code, etc.
- We do not claim any rights to your tool outputs or project data.
- You grant us a limited license to store your data on our servers for the purpose of providing the Service.
6. Our content
- The guide text, tool interfaces, design, and code are owned by Ship the Game.
- You may not copy, redistribute, or resell the guide content or tools.
- Code exported by the tools (UXML, .tscn, JSON, shader code, etc.) is yours to use in your projects without restriction.
- Claude Code prompts in the guide are provided for your personal use — you may paste and use them freely.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Create multiple accounts to abuse the free tier or save limits
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download guide content or tool interfaces
- Attempt to bypass premium tier restrictions
- Use the Service to build a competing product
- Upload malicious content through tool save fields
- Share your account credentials with others
8. Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you sign up or purchase through them, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are marked with †. Our recommendations are the same with or without commission.
9. Availability and changes
- We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime.
- We may add, remove, or change tools and guide content at any time.
- We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
- If we make a change that materially reduces what you paid for, we'll offer a refund.
10. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is." We make no warranties about the accuracy, reliability, or suitability of the guide content or tool outputs. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost revenue, lost data, or failed game launches. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the state where the operator resides.
